Digital Instructional and Pedagogical Gaps in Mathematics Education during COVID-19: APOS Theory Based Laboratory Methodology in Higher Education

The COVID-19 pandemic globally transformed the face to teaching and learning into digital online learning. uptake integration of technology in mathematics education have been gradual for many decades. However, has reshaped made it an imperative safe remote instruction pedagogy day general. We explored use virtual laboratory methodology undergraduate Calculus as a gap revealed during infections prevention containment period Zimbabwe. main objective study was identify instructional pedagogical gaps that existed addressing students' mathematical misconceptions using APOS theory laboratory. Data collected from 160 students taking courses via mediated semester. Results who took performed better than those used take same didactical approaches. This crisis ushered experiences clearly spelt out existence education.
